Dar and Steve kissing. She's a very enthusiastic kisser.

One of my favorite pieces, really.

Yes, whoops.

More to the point- why should it matter if Daria did just HAPPEN to be a man and was kissing Steve Rogers? What sort of comment or criticism is it to just say 'they're gay'? If Daria was a man, then yes, it would be a picture of two men engaging in a homosexual kiss. So what? That doesn't tell me anything about what you thought about my artwork. That doesn't tell me if you liked the composition or hated the coloring or thought my perspective was weird. Just posting 'they're gay' is simply a blatant statement of what is going on in the picture and implies a certain, potentially insulting, narrow-mindedness in the person who posted the comment. Or, in other words, a degree of homophobia. Which I do not tolerate.

While I do not personally interpret Steve Rogers as homosexual, I at least accept the fact that many fans like to interpret him that way. I personally have read numerous Steve/Tony stories that have been well-written, charming, and overall LOVELY. Even when I don't agree with a character interpretation, I don't go around posting 'they're gay!' all over artwork and stories that show that interpretation. Because it's an incredibly insulting statement of the obvious.

When you leave a comment on a piece of work, it should be thoughtful. You don't have to agree with what the art is showing. You don't have to like homosexual relationships and artwork that depicts it. You are, in fact, fully free to just hit the 'back' button and never look at it again. But if you DO decide to take the time to comment, then do everyone a favor and leave something insightful that tells the artist how you felt about the piece and how you think they can improve in future, and not just 'their gay'.
