Decided to doodle some comparisons.
Yeah. Kiran apparently has a hard time staying human. Well, in fairness, the horse isn't him.
The horse is Abhisohka, or Abhi, a specially bred mare from his homeland in Hadiqa, where they are bred to be highly intelligent companions and war mounts for the sorcerers and soldiers of that realm. Abhi is very smart and lives up to her name, which means 'affectionate'. Her breed is called 'Children of the Shooting Star', and yes, she is supposed to be in the small side. All of them have white star markings on their foreheads.
In the middle is Kiran as a human. Next to him is Kiran as a cat- he managed to piss off Queen Damia, the usurper of the Throne of Archfleur, and in retaliation she turned him into a sentient, talking cat.
And on the left is Kiran as a werewolf. He gets bitten much later in the story, and I can't wait to get to writing that part
