Otto had always been slow to wake up. It usually took him at least fifteen minutes to go from sleep, to opening his eyes, to convincing himself to crawl out of bed. Mental functionality did not exist until after coffee, except under extenuating circumstances.

Such as waking up to find a faerie still curled under his arm. That served to wake him up more than usual.

He blinked at her, vaguely startled to find her there. She was quite nice to wake up to, but the fact that he was waking up to her made him pause momentarily.

Mouse shivered as she approached the warehouse, moving swiftly against the cold wind. The temperature had dropped quickly over the last couple of weeks, and flurries of snow were already starting to make an appearance in New York City. Shifting her bag, Mouse coughed into her sleeve and tried to move a little faster.

She hated winter. Digging through bins was harder, especially when it snowed. And although she much preferred living with Otto than the crack house, the warehouse was drafty. So this has been what's been keeping me busy for the past couple months- my final project for my work co-op.

Stash Weasels are small ferret-like creatures that protect a knitter or crocheter's stash of yarn and wool. This one apparently has high standards regarding socks.

He is good! My stash is currently spread over two cites and many boxes, which is making him a little frustrated, but everything should be consolidated in the next few months and he will be happier

Rams is the amazing, wonderful woman who stalks the Yarn Harlot's blog (www.yarnharlot.ca/bog) who originally came up with the stash weasel concept back in about 2006. I ran with the idea and she graciously granted me permission to create and sell the weasels.
